Feature

Key features

60% floor area gained through extension

The site is maximised by adding floors to the side and above, resulting in an additional 60% internal floor area.

Retention of existing structure

The maximised retention of the existing structure is celebrated as an exposed concrete finish.

New multi-purpose corner extension

A brick-clad feature corner extension forms a new reception, lobby and flexible arts space.

Lightweight timber structure limits strengthening

The lightweight CLT slabs and exposed glulam timber frame on the new floors limits the strengthening required to the existing building.
