Key features

Over 470 new homes

The scheme will provide 429 purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) units, plus an additional 44 affordable residential units.

Hybrid structure

The structure comprises a composite steel frame supported on defined station loading points with a new RC stability core.

Re-use of piles

Justifying and re-using the existing station basement structure, including foundations for increased massing, helps reduce embodied carbon.

Complex site considerations

Detailed Ground Movement Assessments (GMAs) for significant underground assets were completed, including LUL, BT and Thames Water, to demonstrate acceptable movements.

Affordable housing

The affordable housing block will have an RC frame supported on piles and pile caps.
