Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Hall

HTS has been involved in detailed studies for the reconfiguration and remodelling of the stage and choir stalls in the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Hall. The Grade II-listed concert hall was constructed in the 1930s and underwent extensive refurbishments in 2016.

Working directly with the client

The team worked directly with the client to understand the project requirements and constraints, with a view to future flexibility.

Coordinating with theatre consultant

Significant changes to building operations were facilitated and coordinated with theatre consultant Sound Space Vision to ensure smooth programming.

Working within a listed building

Working with, rather than against, the listed building, the design team sort to re-use and retain as much as possible to minimise structural interventions.
