A landlocked 1800s former timber yard in Belgravia which has been transformed into residential units and a retail arcade worthy of its place in the Pimlico Road Design District.

Key features

Retained façade and structural elements

The existing structure was retained where possible, including the Pimlico Road façade, load-bearing masonry walls and piers, and the trussed roof.

Opening up a new retail arcade

Mezzanine levels were inserted within the 19th-century structure and the basement was extended to create a retail arcade.

Celebrating exposed structures

New retail units were inserted using exposed unitised steel frames, and the Victorian timber-frames rooflight was restored.

Restored apartments

Reconstruction of nine residential units comprising of one-, two- and three-bed apartments.
