Hornsey Town Hall

Restoration and refurbishment of Grade II*-listed Hornsey Town Hall, transforming the art deco building into an arts centre and hotel. The redevelopment also converts a Grade II-listed annexe into apartments and adds three new apartment blocks.

Key features

Cost saving of £4 million

We rationalised the previous engineering design for the complex site, saving the project approximately £4 million.

Conversion of theatre into cinema

The original theatre has been converted into a cinema, involving significant modification to the existing cantilever balconies.

Restoration for public use

The heritage spaces of the listed building, including the assembly hall, foyer and committee rooms, are being restored and opened to the public.

Extension to Grade II*-listed town hall

New floors are being added to create new hospitality spaces, and all bored piles are being eliminated.

SuDS negotiations with Thames Water

The size of the SuDS attenuation tank was reduced due to successful negotiation with Thames Water.
