Key features

Lightweight timber and glass structure

A new lightweight glass and timber structure envelops the existing 2-storey RC frame, maximising the capacity of the structure.

4-storey extension without additional strengthening

The lightweight timber-framed extension ensures the existing foundations can support four additional storeys without strengthening.

New cores provide stability

The new cores are threaded through the building and are constructed from CLT and RC on the extension and existing levels respectively.

Glulam frame and CLT floors

A steel transfer deck sits above the existing roof slab with a new glulam frame and CLT floors spanning the secondary beams.
