Laura was Heyne Tillett Steel’s first full-time research engineer, helping to grow the HTS+ research and innovation initiative. She leads the HTS+ team in continuously progressing the practice’s understanding and implementation of low carbon, circular structural design. By researching sustainable materials, developing tools, and disseminating research across the practice and industry, Laura inspires forward-thinking design solutions.
An advocate for a regenerative construction industry, Laura regularly speaks at leading industry events for LETI, NLA and IStructE and has piloted studies on concrete re-use, embodied carbon targets, and the challenges of timber design and construction.
