Deep site research, understanding the history, careful building retention, and really sweating the structure, exposing what was and adding back a new elegant structure. It’s been a real collaboration with GPE and the whole team on what has been an incredible project.’

From the outset, our team focused on low-carbon design strategies. Through detailed investigations and structural analysis, we enabled the retention and extension of 75% of the existing concrete frame and 50% of the original façade, while adding three new storeys and achieving a 50% increase in floor area — all with minimal strengthening works.
