The redevelopment of Woodford Green preparatory school in the London Borough of Redbridge. The proposals will deliver a distinctive three-storey building comprising a multi-use event space alongside spacious, light-filled classrooms and a dedicated art room.

Key Features

• The new event hall located at the heart of the building will allow for a range of school activities as well being available to hire by the local community and resident groups.
• The new building features column-free teaching space, creating open span areas and allowing for future flexibility.
• Corresponding to the school’s identity and colour of its student’s uniforms, the extension will be clad in handmade red bricks and will be formed from a steel frame and CLT roof structure.
• The school’s Whitfield Building will undergo a one-storey extension formed from lightweight steel and CLT, allowing for minimal works to the existing foundations.
