The Kodak located at 65 Kingsway, an existing Grade II listed Art Deco office building was previously in use as Kodak’s original London headquarters. The building has been remodelled and retrofitted to provide a high-quality workplace with an improved entrance, roof terrace, new lifts and upgrade the building fabric to improve energy efficiency.

Key Features

• Demolition and replacement of the 1980s roof extension to upgrade the load capacity with steel beams and cross laminated timber panels
• The existing building was recored and two new exposed concrete stability cores were constructed
• Column removal to open up the existing floor plate
• Column strengthening to the original 1920s rivetted steel sections
• All works were undertaken with three live tenants
