A new single storey building to act as a new nursery for the school, located near Bethnal Green in East London. The roof is framed as a reciprocal grid, designed with laminated timber sections, which take vertical support from steel columns that themselves are branched to form a“tree” style column. The ground floor slab spans as a one-way spanning slab between simple concrete trench foundations, and isolated pads are provided beneath exterior columns.
