A new two storey private house has been created in a woodland setting within the Surrey countryside

Key features

• demolition of an existing 1960s bungalow which occupied the site and the construction of a new, timber framed house as well as an external swimming pool
• As a condition of planning permission, the new structure is required to sit within the footprint of the former building
• Two intersecting black boxes are wrapped in vertical larch cladding and the boards were cut and joined on site with a bespoke timber jig
