Originally constructed in the early 1920s, the iconic Grade II* listed Liberty Department Store was sensitively restored and repaired works, through a collaboration with heritage consultants Stephen Levrant, delivering critical structural repairs as part of the building’s wider conservation plan. 

Key Features

  • Whole scale facade repair and improvements.
  • Restoration of the existing timber beams, originally used within the structure for two battle ships dating back to the late 1800s.
  • Refurbishment of the existing steel structure which has corroded in parts.
  • Specialist repairs and investigations to restore the numerous split timber beams.
