Originally constructed in the early 1920s, the iconic Grade II* listed Liberty Department Store is undergoing a series of sensitive restoration and repair works. HTS is collaborating with heritage consultants Stephen Levrant to deliver critical structural repairs as part of the building’s wider conservation plan. 

Key Features

• Whole scale facade repair and improvements
• Restoration of the existing timber beams, originally used within the structure for two battle ships dating back to the late 1800s.
• Refurbishment of the existing steel structure which has corroded in parts
• Specialist repairs and investigations to restore the numerous split timber beams
