Laindon Centre involves the demolition of an existing shopping centre to create new high-quality and low-carbon homes. 88 new CLT freehold houses will be constructed alongside 136 residential units built over five blocks. At ground level a series of retail units will create an active street frontage and new high street for residents and community members.

• Detailed cut and fill to the site that has resulted in a saving to the project of over £5M
• Interface details between RC structure and CLT structure
• To simplify the construction sequence and increase programme efficiency, a podium RC slab has been analysed and designed to avoid the use of temporary works.
