A refurbishment and extension of an existing Victorian terrace to create a 1,500sqm Enterprise Hub for Goldsmith University. The hub will provide flexible workspace, a new café and garden area for use by the local community and Goldsmiths students and alumni.
Key Features
- Construction of two new-build interventions, a single-storey pavilion and a glazed link structure
- The rear pavilion and link elements will be built from sustainably-sourced engineered timber, embodying low-carbon design principles
- The existing Victorian shopfront will be remodelled to create a new chamfered corner entrance, providing the main public route into the hub and framing the new link
- The new and existing structure will be exposed throughout and the new circulation stair will be constructed from engineered timber
