2449 - Folgate Building

An office refurbishment which consisted of adding three new floors of exposed concrete construction to the top of the existing structure as well as new terraces at 4th, 7th and 8th floors with a new exposed steel and timber pavilion structure at 4th floor. The existing building is located above the Central Line tunnels and the frame and foundations were reused with only local strengthening to the existing raft foundation.

  • Full existing structural model produced at stage 2 from archives, allowing rapid and informed design progress.
