2511 - Dolphin Square

City of Westminster

Comprehensive refurbishment of Dolphin Square, a 1100-unit residential complex in Pimlico. The project includes the demolition and reconstruction of the northern wing to provide a new ten-storey building with two basement levels, single-storey rooftop extensions to the retained and refurbished wings and a new row of townhouses to the Western Carriageway.

Key features

  • Investigations into the existing superstructure and substructure
  • Realising the potential of the existing foundations and superstructure by justifying their reuse under increased loads with minimal strengthening works
  • Developing a basement design and construction methodology to minimise ground movements and disruption within the estate
