The Cotton Quay masterplan, an 8.3-acre mixed-use plot will create generous public realm connecting a series of residential towers to the waterfront. Three existing water basins will be retained and transformed to provide a harbour lido, a series of ecological islands and a timber boardwalk running along the water’s edge.
Key Features
- Scheme will provide 1750 new homes and 500 hotel rooms over 14 new buildings with the tallest building at 46 storeys high
- Public realm works and infrastructure links including four new bridges
- Blue green roofs, rain gardens, bioretention basins and permeable paving have been proposed throughout the masterplan
- Public leisure facilities provided, including harbour lido, floating gardens and rooftop playgrounds
- New adopted sewer network will be installed to drain site
- Innovative and sustainable SuDS strategies have been designed in close collaboration with architects Studio Egret West and the HTS civils team
