Westminster
The project involves the complete redevelopment of two mews houses located in Mayfair, London. The two properties are to be combined into a single family house to restore the original 1920's character of the street. The internal structure of the two buildings is being demolished and rebuilt behind a retained façade with an additional basement level requiring underpinning and permeation grouting techniques. The main structure is built around a high steel truss that supports a series of hung room pods, the roof structure and suspended brick chimneys. A structural glass box will form the orangery enclosure.
