Charlie joined Heyne Tillett Steel in February 2016 and has gained extensive experience in flood risk assessments and drainage design, working on a wide range of projects including large residential developments, public realm schemes and educational campuses.

Charlie also has experience producing detailed designs incorporating SuDS into below ground drainage and external works and is familiar with liaising with relevant local sewerage undertakers to carry diversions, connections and adoptions of public sewers.

Recent projects include Blackwall Reach, a large residential development which incorporates many different SuDS elements such as swales, raingardens and below ground attenuation to meet the SuDS planning requirements. He is also experienced in public realm design having delivered strategic design advice at Battersea Arts Centre to improve the external area around the site by providing a new shared surface road, tree pits and raised planters. Charlie worked with different suppliers and manufactures of materials to provide the best most cost-effective solution.

He began his career in 2012 when he started his apprenticeship in civil engineering at Peter Brett Associates. Here he gained a wide range of skills working in both the transport and civils team.
