Andy is an Associate at HTS with over 8 years’ experience working on projects from early conceptual stage through to completion, producing efficient and practical schemes. He particularly enjoys the buildability and construction aspect of engineering and designing an integrated temporary and permanent solution, which utilises the existing structure and carefully considers construction sequencing to reduce project programme and cost.
Since joining Heyne Tillett Steel in 2016 Andy has been involved in several complex refurbishment and cut and carve projects on constrained sites, including 24 St James’s Square and City Gate House which pioneered the concept of total engineering at HTS. He has also completed refurbishment schemes on a variety of listed structures, principally Old Burlington Street a Grade I listed building in Mayfair and Manor House in Soho.
Recently, Andy has been working on several high profile new build office projects, such as Worship Square, a nine storey commercial building with double basement in Shoreditch designed by Make Architects and Townsend House, a six storey mixed office and residential building designed by Squires and Partners.
Andy enjoys working as part of the wider design team and with the contractor to develop solutions that benefit the broader project. He strives to investigate, interrogate, understand and resolve the complex issues with creative solutions.
