Teaching local primary school children Autocad

We were excited to be part of surveying and mapping pilot for Key Stage 2 children at a local primary schools STEM club.

Having measured and mapped their playground, Associate Spencer Stevenson helped teach the children some basic Autocad skills that allowed them to work up their measurements into 2D CAD drawings. They then designed new playground layouts including budgeting for equipment. We then produced some VR visualisations of the different playground schemes (with some added surprises). The final session was at HTS offices where we had an amazing time using our VR equipment and discussing the different designs

What a fantastic bunch of kids, polite, well behaved and very eager to learn. We are looking forward to the next sessions.
