Senior engineer Shawn Cohen recently delivered a lecture to final year architectural students at the University of Kent. Shawn talked about sustainability in construction focusing on embodied carbon, the large impact structures have on the overall carbon of a building and how embodied carbon can be measured. The lecture was followed by a short seminar, critiquing some work in progress designs undertaken by the students.
