Plans in for new Art House gallery and workspace for 800 people

Plans for a striking new Art House gallery and workspace with General Projects have been submitted to Islington Council for consideration. The Clerkenwell site, originally a gin distillery and public house, is due to be refurbished to provide flexible public space, modern offices and retail accommodation.

The designs, drawn up with Buckley Gray Yeoman, include a two-storey polished concrete box ‘floating’ above the new entrance, which will be built in the location of the former public house.

We have worked with the architects to agree appropriate extension massing within key structural parameters to minimise any existing building strengthening.
