Planning permission has been granted to build a new 51,000 sq ft co-working office building at 74 Rivington Street in Shoreditch. Working alongside Buckley Gray Yeoman on behalf of The Office Group, we have drawn up plans to create a new six storey Glulam framed office building over a new basement level.
Known informally as Black and White 2, the project will provide purpose-built space and is set to become one of the tallest timber framed buildings in central London - benefitting from reduced carbon emissions as well as saving time by using off-site construction methods.
The HTS+ research group is currently developing Glulam and CLT composite panels for the floor plates; further improving efficiencies and minimising structural depth.
