Progress is being made on site at Old Gramophone Works.
Previously in use as a gramophone factory and recording studio, the existing building is being refurbished using CLT and glulam elements to provide a contemporary, low-carbon workplace.
The majority of the new glulam columns have now been installed up to the second floor level and the majority of works on the existing RC frame have been carried out, allowing for the timber connections into the structure.
The proposed carport constructed from a new steel frame is in place on the east face of the building while the substation has been cast from a small RC frame.
