We're delighted to announce that Spring Place & The Black and White Building have both won a NLA Award 2017.
Spring Place - Best Unbuilt Workplaces Award
Working in collaboration with Piercy & Company, Spring Place presents a number complex engineering challenges due to its location and history. A 19th century railway viaduct runs through the site and the development includes the spaces in the arches beneath the viaduct. The development proposals are for a new six-storey building plus basement providing approximately 49,000 sq ft of office accommodation
The Black and White Building - Best Unbuilt Offices Award
HTS are working with BGY, for The Office Group, to provide a six storey plus basement co-working office space. Awarded for its innovative design, the Glulam frame structure set to become one of the tallest buildings of its kind in central London. The timber will be expressed and the Crittal style cladding makes for a landmark development.
Our HTS+ research group with City University are currently developing a Glulam and CLT composite system with intelligent arrangements of mechanical fixings, to reduce the structural depth of the floors.
