Over the next few weeks and in the lead up to COP26, HTS is hosting a series of sustainability talks from our new office in Manchester. The talks will bring together leading voices from across the North West property industry to discuss sustainability and how we can achieve low carbon design.
The first in our series took place yesterday evening and was a focus on all things embodied carbon. Moderated by David Miller, the talk was held between HTS senior research engineer Laura Batty and Joe Jack Williams from FCB Studios. Conversation ranged from what embodied carbon means and what we need to consider to achieve truly low-carbon buildings, to circular economy and principles in construction.
It was wonderful to host the talk in-person at our Manchester office, bringing together clients and collaborators from across the industry.
Our next talk, Designing with Timber, will take place Tuesday 2 November.
