We are delighted to share that we recently became a Certified B Corporation, joining a global community of businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.
Becoming B Corp Certified means that we are legally committed to considering the interests of all stakeholders in our business operations: employees, customers, communities, and the environment. In short; to using our business as a force for good.
B Corp Certification was a natural step for HTS after becoming an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) in 2021. Both employee-ownership and B Corp Certification align with the core values of the practice, which is run for the benefit of, and is accountable to, its stakeholders. Creating a resilient future requires a commitment to continuous improvement, something which has been at the heart of HTS since the founding directors set up in 2007.
"We’re really pleased to have been certified as a B Corp. The B Impact Assessment was a thoroughly engaging process that allowed us to reflect on what we do well as a practice and highlight goals for further improvement. We look forward to joining forces with the other 50+ Built Environment B Corps." - James Morgan, Director
The B Impact Assessment evaluates a company’s practices and outputs across five categories: governance, workers, community, the environment, and customers. To find out more about what B Corp Certification means, and how to become a B Corp, visit bcorporation.eu.
