Footprint+ 2023 in Brighton saw the launch of our Stockmatcher , where Associate Laura Batty and Senior Structural Engineer Liam Ross demonstrated how the tool works. The HTS Stockmatcher is a selection tool built to assist procurement of reclaimed steel for use in new construction projects. It is free to use and requires no licenced software.
Across the three days, Founding Directors, Andy Heyne, Mark Tillett and Tom Steel, each spoke on individual panels focusing on the circular economy.
Tom Steel chaired The re-use of steel in practice panel with Roy Fishwick, Managing Director at Cleveland Steel and Tubes, Steve Gilchrist, Project Director at Grosvenor Property UK and Paul Moody, Operations Director at Cantillon.
Mark Tillett chaired the Retain, renew or demolish? panel with Rob McNicol, Assistant Director, Policy and Strategy at the City of London Corporation and Mina Hasman, Sustainability Director & Climate Change Lead at SOM.
Andy spoke on the Timber for retrofit and extensions panel alongside Ben Cross, Development Director at General Project and Rachael Owens, Head of Sustainability at Buckley Gray Yeoman. The session was chaired by Mitakshi Sirsi, Director of Sustainability at Broadway Malyan.
