Director Andy Heyne recently took part in a roundtable discussion hosted by the Structural Timber Awards. The session brought together leading figures working across the structural timber industry to discuss challenges facing the sector, ongoing innovation and developments and take a closer look at the winning projects at this year’s awards.
Discussing our Republic Masterplan project, winner of the Commercial Project of the Year and Solid Wood project of the year, Andy said:
‘Timber has moved a long way in recent years. Our client, Trilogy Property, didn’t need a lot of convincing about timber’s many tactile and sustainable benefits but due to the site constraints, weight was a key consideration. Timber is a lighter material and offered commercial benefits in that we could add additional development area.’
