60 London Wall featured in New London Quarterly Issue 47

60 London Wall has been featured in the latest issue of New London Quarterly magazine. Alongside our client, La Salle and EPR Architects, HTS director Mark Tillett shared his views on the complex redevelopment of the existing post-modern office block. 

"To gain an understanding of the original structure we researched everything — we dug, sampled, and modelled down to the last bolt — gathering information to ensure we knew everything about the structure. We then used this information to shape our structural solution. Stripping the building back to the bones, we worked with the grain of what we had and sweated the structure to allow it to reach its full potential. We took away the bare minimum and added back as little as possible to create the greatest change. Bringing the skeleton of the structure to the surface, we exposed the striking trussed beams and beautifully detailed columns"
