We are delighted to announce that the planning application for 55 Old Broad Street has been submitted to the City of London.
We have been working alongside an illustrious design team for our client, Landsec, on the 400,000sqft new-build mixed-use development, which sits on a complex site above two London underground lines, Thames Water sewers and significant archaeological context.
Sustainable design has been at the forefront of the project and our proposal includes part retention of the existing basement construction, retention of a 5-storey building element of the existing building, reused steel from the demolished structure and the construction of a highly optimised RC frame with PT slabs & SuDS.
The project will provide commercial, retail, creative and cultural spaces, connected by a thriving public realm with integrated pedestrian routes and green spaces.
