The first of our 2022 Manchester Talk Series’ took place last week and focused on Designing for Retrofit and the Circular Economy.
Hosted by HTS Associate Director David Miller, presentations were given by Ben Cross, Development Director at General Projects, Katie Fisher, Architect at Grounded and Ellie Kuitunen, Senior Project Manager at Manchester City Council.
“It’s evidently clear that the need to retrofit buildings should be at the top of the agenda from a sustainability perspective, but doing this on a large scale within our industry remains a very significant challenge. There are clearly some fantastic examples locally and nationally, but it will require a huge effort and with government support to get where we urgently need to be.” - David Miller, HTS.
