Our project Regency House, with Denton Corker Marshall Architects, involves the sensitive reuse and redesign of a 1900s load-bearding brickwork façade building. We have designed an additional storey on top to create a new rooftop bar space and dining experience, which required the re-justification of the existing load bearing masonry external structure for disproportional collapse.

A new steel frame storey on the additional level is constructed with a lightweight concrete metal deck structure to reduce the additional storeys impact on the existing foundations, which were justified for reuse.

Here is some drone footage of the steels being constructed on site earlier this year.
