Alongside Orms Architects, HTS is working on the redevelopment of the former Central Saint Martin’s site in Holborn. Works include converting the Grade II* listed Lethaby Building to hotel use, a four-storey vertical and lateral extension to an existing 60s tower, three adjoining new-build RC structures and a new deep basement across the majority of the site.

Key Features

• Retention of the existing 60s tower and excavation of a new ~20m deep basement below
• Two new large, below ground, column free event spaces with steel trusses will support new and retained structures above
• Deep underpinning of the Grade II* listed Lethaby Building footings to enable the excavation of the new basement
• Piling adjacent to and construction above a Crossrail tunnel
