1196 - Bromley Mills Wharf

Bromley

The project involves the demolition of the existing buildings and the construction of three new residential towers of between 9 and 20 storeys above ground level over a single storey of commercial space. The project has been granted planning permission.

Key Features

  • Site constraints include adjacent river wall, large diameter trunk sewer clipping the site and a historic wall to be preserved.
  • Development also includes the refurbishment and extension of a listed building.
  • Detailed discussions with all interested third parties including Port of London, the Environment Agency and Thames Water to get necessary approvals early on.
  • Close engagement to confirm building close to the river and contingency plans for climate change flood protection.
  • Existing foundations on site necessitating a piled raft foundation with the flexibility to re-position piles on site if required.
