Royal Free Hospital – Pears Building receives planning permission

Royal Free Hospital in collaboration with UCL have received planning permission from Camden Council, to build a new £42 million world class research facility, patient hotel and office space in the grounds of the Hampstead campus.

Designed by Hopkins Architects, the scheme involves the construction of a new exposed concrete framed structure over 7 storeys to replace the existing 2 storey carpark structure. Works are anticipated to start on site in September.
