HTS have recently completed 201 Borough High Street with architects Stiff + Trevillion.
The newly completed six-storey refurbishment involves the vertical extension of an RC framed commercial block, creating an additional floor of flexible workspace, for serviced office provider The Office Group.
The building has been increased by 263 sq m (GEA) through the addition of the new floor and the creation of two new terraces. The exterior has been significantly enhanced through the use of a contemporary palette of materials, new windows and the use of corten steel on the top floor. Exposing the existing structural RC waffle slabs has been the key aspect in achieving the right aesthetic at The Office Group’s newest location, and drove the decision to expose the steel frame and CLT roof on the upper floors.
