A new higher education facility for Ada, National College for Digital Skills, has been granted planning permission and is featured in the Architect’s Journal online this week.
The £18m scheme by Architecture 00 will sit within a larger masterplan in the Tottenham Hale area and will house around 1,000 students and apprentices.
The unusual geometry of the building stems from having to avoid placing loads over a number of service tunnels for the Victoria Line. A six storey section will partially cantilever over the tunnels with two storey high RC walls.
The project is expected to complete in late 2019.
