Planning approved for 65 Kingsway

We have received the exciting news that our 65 Kingsway project with Clearbell Property Partners and Barr Gazetas architects has received planning permission.

The existing grade II listed Art Deco office building was previously in use as Kodak’s original London headquarters. Following permission from Camden Council, the building will now be remodelled and retrofitted to provide a high-quality workplace with an improved entrance, roof terrace, new lifts and upgrade the building fabric to improve energy efficiency.

Heyne Tillett Steel is working on a series of structural interventions across the building including demolition of the 1986 roof extension to upgrade the load bearing capacity of the existing roof, re-coring the existing building and construction of two new exposed concrete stability cores. Adopting sustainable methods of construction, cross laminated timber panels will be installed in the roof, a naturally renewable material source.

The project is expected to start on site in the summer.
