Full steam ahead at Camden Town Hall!

 

Refurbishment to the brutalist Camden Town Hall Annexe is progressing well, with demolition of the rooftop plantroom now complete. These aerial perspectives snapped from the cab of the site’s 56m tower crane, take in panoramic views across Camden as well as St Pancras International and King’s Cross Station.

The scheme - designed with ORMS architects - involves the transformation of the former council offices into a new boutique hotel, with the top of the building extended by three storeys; incorporating a glazed dining lounge and additional floors accommodating hotel rooms. New floors and core extensions will be constructed as a steel frame supporting composite concrete-filled metal decking.

The development for Crosstree is due to complete in 2017.
